Oven Grilled Maple Glazed Pork Loin Steaks

Ingredients:

4-6 Pork loin steaks, approximately 1 ½ inches thick
¼ cup butter, melted
¼ cup white vinegar
⅓ cup Maine Maple Syrup
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
4-6 Single serving sugar maple oval or rectangle planks

Directions:

Place planks in water to soak for two hours. Place pork loin steaks in a resealable freezer bag. Melt butter. In a separate bowl mix white vinegar, maple syrup, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Add melted butter and mix thoroughly. Add mixture to loin steaks and marinate in the refrigerator for two hours.

Turn on oven to BROIL. Place planks on cookie sheet. Lightly oil planks with olive oil. Place loin steaks on the planks and put under the broiler for approximately 10 minutes. Flip loin steaks over on the planks and liberally brush on remaining marinade. Finish for another 10 minutes. Serve directly on the planks. A sautéed green bean, summer squash, and tomato medley with rice are great pairings.
