The first home purchased and renovated by the Foundation was Parkwood House.  The home was purchased in early 2005 and the residents, along with one live-in support person, moved in May first.

Parkwood House has accommodations for five residents, two woman on the upper floor and three men below.  Each resident has a large bedroom with a seating/TV and/or desk area, a walk-in closet and their own private bath.  Residents share a roomy kitchen with eating area, a formal living room on the upper level, a family/game/exercise room on the lower level, laundry room, two decks and large treed lot/yard.  In addition to the resident's quarters there is also a spacious one bedroom apartment on the main level with private entrance for a live-in support person.  For a complete understanding of the Parkwood Foundation philosophy of resident independence and individualized support please see the MISSION page.
