World Class Golfing

Just minutes from the world-famous Black Diamond Ranch, our Citrus Hills hotel is perfectly placed to begin your Florida golfing adventure.  Florida is known for its mild winter climate which is ideal for golfing.  With acres of green fairways and beautiful, manicured landscaping, you can get lost in the game and also in the natural beauty of Citrus County’s outdoors.

Named one of Americas top 100 golf golf clubs by Golf Digest for 22 years running, the Black Diamond Ranch golf club is a private course which allows non-member play on select areas.  It is home to the John Jacobs Golf School.  The course was designed by Tom Fazio in the late 80′s and is shaped by its previous existence as a limestone quarry.  The excavation of the quarry left towering 80-ft cliffs, sunken pits which became lakes, and  shifting topography.  Through time and thoughtful reshaping of the landscape, Fazio turned this landscape into a breathtaking course where amazing natural foliage and limestone features run alongside brilliant green fairways and ponds.

The Black Diamond actually encompasses three courses; The QuarryThe Ranch, and The Highlands.  The Quarry is an 18 Hole Par 72 course.  The Ranch is also 18 Holes, Par 72.  The Highlands is a 3500-yard, par-36 course.  Other Citrus County Golf Course are listed below.
