One-on-One Coaching Client Testimonials

“Working with Yvette has allowed me to experience the most personal and professional growth over the course of the last year than I have in the entire 6-7 years of my entire career. She expertly weaves her deep knowledge and insight into extremely valuable business and life skills, and I have benefited so much from learning critical lessons from her experience. What I’ve learned from Yvette has been an essential part of the success I have seen over this past year. At times in my career, I have felt feelings of discouragement and isolation, and working with Yvette helped me to overcome those feelings and take control of my career path. I could always count on Yvette to be available to listen when I needed to discuss something in a safe and confidential environment. I always walk away from our conversations feeling re-energized and knowing what I need to do next. Yvette has not only increased my self-confidence, but also helped me to improve my interpersonal relationship skills. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Yvette; I would highly recommend working with her if you want to see personal or professional growth in your own life and career.”

“Yvette saved my marriage! My wife and I were ready to call it quits when my father recommended that we give her a try. We had tried counseling at our church with little to no success and had big reservations about trying it again. I am so thankful that we did. Yvette provided the tools we needed to communicate with respect and love, to forgive, and more on in a healthy way.”

"Yvette is a creative and innovative Career Coach and Consultant and I highly recommend her coaching services. I was most impressed by her passion for taking the knowledge she has gained through her own personal experiences to help others realize their potential. She has a sincere interest in the success of her clients and a deep desire to help. Unlike many other career coaches, she did not write my resume for me, she truly COACHED me through writing it myself. Yvette wanted to ensure that I knew how to make adjustments and updates on my own and this separated her from the other companies. She asked probing questions that made me think about the details of my current and past positions. I was able to realize that my resume did not give an accurate picture of my true worth. The original copy of my resume in comparison to the current is like night and day. I have not received many responses based on my previous resume. However, I wholeheartedly believe that my recently improved resume is going to be the catalyst that will afford me the dream career I’ve always desired and deserved. Thank you in advance Yvette! I look forward to continuing to learn and grow from your coaching.”

“I went to Yvette for coaching because after six years with the same company I was still holding the same position. I was overlooked for promotions and didn’t know what to do about it. Yvette taught me how to position myself for a promotion and how to ask for what I wanted. One year after working with Yvette, I was promoted! I am enjoying my new position, but most of all I gained confident through my work with Yvette. She not only helped me with my career but she also helped me with my marriage. I suffered for over 13 years in my marriage and Yvette helped me to find my voice at home and at work. I highly recommend Yvette as a career coach and a marriage coach. Her insights and approach was worth every dime of my investment.”

Are you where you want to be?

If you’re wanting to advance your career, build a stronger marriage, or enhance your interpersonal communication skills, Yvette Gavin Consulting is here to show you how to achieve the success you desire.

There are very few highly successful people who did not have someone to support them along their journey to success. I sure did. It was Joe Osterling, former Chief Information Officer at Cbeyond, who taught me how to build a relationship with senior leaders and Rev. John Nash, who spent countless Monday nights coaching me to become the spiritual leader I am today. My passion for helping others to strengthen their marriages was birthed out of those coaching sessions. There were other coaches like Marci Saaijenga, Vice President at Cox Communications and Pastor Charles Bennefield who were kind enough to invest hours of their time filling my life bucket with invaluable wisdom. And there were my group coaching sessions as a member of the Women in Technology (WIT) Executive Coaching class of 2008.

Whether formal or informal, I strongly believe anyone who is serious about growing a career or relationship has a coach. Are you serious enough about achieving the lifestyle you desire and getting to where you want to be?
