Welcome Marion County students! The entire membership of the Ocala/Marion County Hospitality Council is so appreciative of your interest in our annual scholarship program for deserving students planning a career in the hospitality industry.
Our trade association is comprised of executives, leaders and senior managers who work for hotels, restaurants, attractions, service providers to visitors and suppliers who complement their efforts throughout Marion County and central Florida. We recognize the importance of continued interest and growth in this wonderful industry; and to recognize those students who are at the pinnacle of their educational path.
We are committed to recognize and honor deserving students attending either a high school or college in the Marion County area with a major or curriculum that is focused on the hospitality/tourism industry, as well as workers currently employed in a Marion County hospitality business. We were able to give out 4 scholarships in 2016 in the amounts of one $500, one $750, one $1500, and one $2000 and looking to do more in 2017.
So that we can include you in the consideration for one of these scholarships please download the Scholarship Application from below, fill it out completely, taking time to research and contemplate your response to the essay question, and return it via email to: cindy.renee@me.com. Please note that the deadline to receive these applications is April 30, 2017 at 5:00pm. The Ocala-Marion County Hospitality Council is not responsible for the mis-delivery of any application and the decision of the judges is final. Winners will be notified by telephone in May and invited to attend the monthly meeting of the association as our guest to receive their award and recognition.
