Mission Statement:
The mission of The Alex McDonald Foundation is to provide young adults the opportunity to further enrich their lives through education while carrying on Alex McDonald’s legacy. We aim to serve the community in both man-hours and
monetary donations to worthy organizations involved with young adults.

Alex was truly a one of a kind individual who would do whatever it took to help someone in need. After his passing we wanted to honor Alex’s life in a way that would keep his legacy alive, so the Alex McDonald Foundation was created. Through the foundation we aim to give individuals that display the characteristics that made Alex the remarkable person he was the opportunity to receive a higher education.

Your support and generosity has been absolutely incredible, and we look forward to serving our community.

FSU Students hold pilanthropy event...

(10/12/2014)  The Alex McDonald foundation has been working closely with student organizations to keep the legacy of Alex McDonald strong. Starting October 20th, students at Florida State University will be participating in an event honoring Alex McDonald aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of drunk driving. Conceived by the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Tico Machado, SAE’s internal philanthropy chair, the event will include five days of having brothers consecutively sit on the decorated king of the jungle pictured above to raise money and awareness in the name of a brother who lost his life because of a drunk driver. “The man bled for us,” said Tico Machado, SAE’s internal philanthropy chair. “The amount of time he spent on trying to make everything work. If you see the positions he held, it was everything. He would help with philanthropy, athletics, government. He tried to bring everyone together and he showed us how we can all work together and be the best we could be.” Click here to read the full article written by the FSU News: SAE Lion Sit Article The mission of The Alex McDonald Foundation is to provide young adults the opportunity to further enrich their lives through education while carrying on Alex McDonald’s legacy. AMF sends SAE brothers to Leadership Training

(09/23/2014) The brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at FSU would like to give a special thanks to the McDonald family and the Alex McDonald Foundation for sending three lucky brothers on the SAE Leadership Cruise, in which seven total brothers attended for four days. The seven brothers who attended the Leadership School brought back a great deal of information back to Tallahassee and this information will help build on the successes of the chapter. Without the McDonalds or the Alex McDonald Foundation, SAE would not have been able to send a record number of brothers to the Leadership School. Again, a great thanks! Caleb W. Diaz Chapter President
